Shiv Sahni (New Delhi, India – 1961)
As a member of an established business family, it seemed only natural that Shiv would follow in his family’s footsteps. He got himself an MBA from the USA but soon found out that his childhood hobby and passion for photography was what he really wanted to pursue in life.
After a transitory period in the advertising industry he established himself as a full time freelance photographer and has since worked with almost every large and international company in India on product and industrial photography assignments. Companies such as LG, Samsung, Coke, Sony and Nokia are his customers and inspiration.
In his spare time he creates photographic art works that draw on skills acquired in childhood while pursuing aero-modeling. He creates miniature models of imaginary landscapes in the studio and photographs them with an analog camera without resorting to any digital manipulation. With an eye for detail and magical lighting he brings his landscapes to life.
